Barbecue Spice
Sweetened Condensed Milk

Barbecue Spice
1/2 cup chili powder
1/4 cup hickory flavored salt
3 Tablespoons onion powder
2 Tablespoons cumin
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 Tablespoon garlic
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Makes 1 cup.

Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup nonfat dry milk
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup boiling water
3 Tablespoons soft butter or margarine
1 Pinch salt

Put all in electric blender, blend until smooth. Keeps for several weeks in refrigerator.
Amount is equal to one can sweetened condensed milk.

Toothpaste
3/4 cups baking soda
1/4 cup salt
3 teaspoons glycerin
10-20 drops flavoring (peppermint, wintergreen, anise, cinnamon, etc)
1 drop food coloring (optional)

Mix baking soda and salt together thoroughly. Add glycerin, flavoring and food
coloring. Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a bowl and add just enough water to it
toothpaste consistency. Spoon into a small air-tight container.
Glycerin is available at any drugstore.

Lawn Fertilizer
2 cups water
1 cup Epson Salts
1 cup ammonia
1 can beer

Put all ingredients into your hose-end sprayer. Mix and spray

Flea Collar
Soak a short length of braided cord, leather or clothesline in pennyroyal oil. Tie it to
your pet’s collar; renew or replace every 2-3 weeks. Pennyroyal can be grown in your
garden and it repels insects and fleas.
